SHILLONG, OCT 31: The Department of Music, Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Shillong, has successfully concluded a month-long music education program at Mawlong Secondary School. The classes, held every Friday from October 3 to October 31, 2025, aimed to promote music education and creative expression among school students.
The program introduced students to various instruments and musical forms, including piano, guitar, ukulele, Ksing, and singing. The hands-on sessions provided students with an opportunity to explore both contemporary and indigenous music, fostering an appreciation for the diversity and beauty of musical traditions.
The Music Department, MLCU, expressed gratitude to Mawlong Presbyterian Secondary School principal, staff, and students for their warm hospitality and support, which contributed to the initiative’s success. The department remains committed to promoting music education and looks forward to future collaborations with schools and institutions sharing the vision of empowering young minds through music.
