Modi files nomination in presence of allies, seeks third term

New Delhi, May 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, in the presence of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers.

Modi took to social media, and stated that, “my relationship with my Kashi is amazing, inseparable and incomparable all I can say is that it cannot be expressed in words!”

Modi’s bid for a hat-trick at the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency underscores his enduring connection with the electorate, having first secured victory in 2014.

Among the notable attendees were Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Meghalaya’s Conrad Sangma, NCP leader Praful Patel, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, HAM(S) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi, RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha, and UP minister Sanjay Nishad, among others.

Modi is scheduled to engage with BJP workers at the Rudraksha Convention Centre, to address the grassroots support base.
