Speaking to media persons, Sangma said, “We want to ensure that all government offices, homes, schools, and health centers have some sort of clean energy and solar energy backup available.”

The CM Solar Mission is a comprehensive initiative that provides a full solution, including solar panels, inverters, and batteries, to store energy for use as needed.
“We are giving a full solution and not just a piece meal solution,” Sangma emphasized.
The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the project, stating, “I am happy that today in the MSPCB office here in Shillong, we have just inaugurated this and I hope that this will support the overall energy requirement here.”

Sangma also praised the Board for leading by example, saying, “More importantly, it will send a positive message that the MSPCB is leading by example to ensure that they are using clean energy and motivate other organizations to also do the same.”
