Kohima, June 30: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a weather advisory warning of thunderstorms, lightning and intermittent rainfall across several parts of the state from July 1 to July 4.
According to the advisory, districts likely to be affected include Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Meluri, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha, Zunheboto, Noklak, Niuland, Phek and Kiphire.

The authority said localized thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rainfall are expected during the four-day period and urged residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
The NSDMA advised people to avoid open areas during thunderstorms, stay away from trees and electric poles during lightning activity, and remain updated through official weather forecasts and alerts.
