Shillong, Feb 18: The leader of the National People’s Party (NPP) Shillong city heaped praises on Conrad Sangma led MDA government on their “swift action” to reduce the price of fuel and to halt load shedding in the State.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, working president of NPP Shillong City, Anthony Nongbri claimed that electricity was restored after 48-72 hours of load shedding which he claimed it was resolved in a very short time.
Slamming the previous government, he said, “Not unlike previous governments who usually do all the talking.” He said it is easy to criticised as done by the Congress and mislead the public
As with regard to reducing the price of petrol and diesel, Nongbri said that the government did so after taking heed of the people’s complaints.
He went on to say that the allegations of corruption against the government are baseless.
He said that many innocent lives were lost under Congress rule citing the example of firing in MBoSe protest in Tura and coal protest in Jaintia Hills.
