Nongpoh, Nov 14: A local arm-wrestler from Lumdieng, Umden village in Ri Bhoi, Senibi Syngkli, is gearing up to represent India at the upcoming Asian Arm-Wrestling Cup in Uzbekistan from November 17–25.
Syngkli’s consistent display of skill has earned her a coveted spot among India’s elite arm wrestlers selected for the prestigious Asian competition. Her recent stellar performance at the 45th National Arm-Wrestling Championship 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir, where she secured two gold and two silver medals, further solidified her status as a formidable athlete.

To recognise her outstanding achievements and support her preparation for the Asian Arm-Wrestling Cup, the Meghalaya People Social Organisation (MPSO) from Ri Bhoi District met with Syngkli on Tuesday.
The organisation, in a generous display of support, contributed funds to facilitate her journey and participation in the upcoming tournament in Uzbekistan.
