Sikkim Boy Tseteej Shiwakoty makes it to Top 17, wins “Most Inspirational Person” award at Mister Global championship

Gangtok, Mar 15: For the very first time in the history, an Indian model has been honoured with the prestigious “Most Inspirational Person” award at one of the biggest international pageants in the world – Mister Global.

Tseteej Shiwakoty, a resident of Sikkim, was honoured with the “Most Inspirational Person” award at the world finals of Mister Global championship held on Tuesday (March 15, 2022), in Maha Sarakham, Thailand. Along with that, he was also placed amongst the Best 17 models at the said international event, that is participated by delegates from different parts of the world.

India had to wait 5 longs years to secure a placement at Mister Global championship that finally happened this year.

As part of the event, all the participants were asked to create a video focusing on their lives, dreams, goals and past accomplishments. Out of all the entries, Top 5 videos were selected by the judges that included the United States, France, Indonesia, Nigeria and India. At the world finals, the judges unanimously voted the Mr. India’s entry as the winner, for vividly showcasing his journey and goals and his video was voted the Most Inspirational Video.

Tseteej Shiwakoty was elected the winner of India’s biggest male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India, last year. Prior to winning this prestigious title, he had also won Mr. Sikkim Manhunt title. As part of his national victory, he got the opportunity to serve as India’s representative at the Mister Global championship. He is one of the very few people that have been part of all the 3 levels in pageantry – State Level (Mr. Sikkim Manhunt in 2019), National Level (Rubaru Mr. India in 2021) and International Level (Mister Global in 2022). Mister Global is a member of the grand slam league of pageants comprising Mister World, Mister International, Mister Supranational and Manhunt International.

Mister Global 2021 had the participation of delegates of 33 countries.
