The report is yet to reach the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Guwahati, which is leading the probe.

“The SIT looking into the tragic demise of Zubeen Garg will unearth all the facts related to the case. They will ensure Zubeen receives complete justice, ” he said

Addressing critics, Sarma urged people to place their trust in the investigation. “Those who doubt justice for Zubeen Garg must reconsider their stance before December 15 and acknowledge the SIT’s diligent work,” he said.

Taking a strong stance against efforts to politicise the case, the CM asserted, “Issues like Bangladeshi infiltrators cannot derail this process. Some have tried to draw premature conclusions, but justice will prevail.”

He further stated, “Let it be known that Lurinjyoti Gogoi will not contest elections for Zubeen’s justice. Tell Akhil Gogoi to cancel the election — the Chief Minister always speaks the truth.”
