Suspected Bangladeshi cattle smuggler lynched in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 6: One suspected cattle smuggler was beaten to death by villagers at a village in Tripura on Friday night.

Reportedly, three suspected cattle lifters entered Kamal Nagar Villager under Sonamura sub-division of Tripura’s Sepahijala district allegedly from Bangladesh late night on Friday.

When the trio entered the house of one Litan Paul to steal cows, the owner caught them red handed with the help of the neighbour.

Among the three, two youth managed to escape but one couldn’t. Following which, the villagers thrashed the suspect to the point that he couldn’t breathe anymore.

Later, on Saturday morning, police found mobile and Bangladesh currency from his possession.

The deceased youth is yet to identified.
