Meghalaya Cabinet on Thursday made a crucial decision aimed at enhancing the education system in the state. The cabinet has decided to adopt NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) books for classes 1 to 10 in the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE).
In line with the directives of the Centre, Government of Meghalaya on Wednesday approved the Draft Meghalaya Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme 2023.
Addressing media persons after a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the two hydro power projects were signed by the government of Meghalaya with private power developers many years back.
The approval was given at the cabinet meeting on Friday at the main secretariat, which also took important decisions and approved appointments in the education sector of the State.
