Five people were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Special Designated Court of the CBI at the District and Sessions Judge, Bongaigaon, on Wednesday.

A Special CBI Court in Agartala has sentenced four individuals, including a former investigator of the Development Commissioner (Handicraft) office and a Tripura government PG teacher, to rigorous imprisonment for 4-5 years in connection with the misappropriation of government funds. The court also imposed a total fine of ₹2.05 lakh on the accused.
