The expansion of Shillong College took a major step forward as the first pillar for its new campus at Laitlyngkot was erected on Monday. Sohra MLA Gavin Mylliem shared the news, calling it a significant milestone in making higher education more accessible to students from rural areas.
Calling the threat by the HNLC as misleading, the MLA said this is the first time the banned outfit has publicly threatened any sitting MLA which also gives an impression that “the threat is the result of some political game by a vested interest”.
