Mizoram is grappling with a severe shortage of essential supplies, particularly fuel, as the Mizoram Oil Tankers Drivers' Association (MOTDA) has suspended operations since July 19, citing dangerously poor conditions on the Aizawl–Silchar highway, the state’s main lifeline.
In a protest against pathetic condition of National Highway 306, the Mizoram Truck Owners’ Association (MTOA) and the Mizoram Truck Drivers’ Association (MTDA) have decided not to ply their vehicle on NH 306 from January 23, 2025.
