Despite the District Administration barring the night curfew, several pressure groups, including GSU, ADE, FKJGP, FAF and AYWO, have announced a two-day Public Imposed Curfew (Night Road Blockade) on September 22 and 23, from 9 PM to 5 AM, in protest against the state government’s decision to run Tura Medical College under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and the ongoing crisis within the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).
