Tripura is poised for a major boost to its rail connectivity, with Chief Minister Manik Saha announcing on Saturday that the state will soon receive its first Vande Bharat Express. The announcement came as he flagged off the new Agartala–Karimganj–Agartala MEMU train service from Agartala Railway Station.
The country's first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will operate on the Guwahati–Kolkata route, a major boost for long-distance rail travel between Assam and West Bengal.
