Kamrup district commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra along with West Khasi Hills district commissioner Hema Nayak visited the Assam–Meghalaya border area at Lumpi under Boko on Wednesday to review preparedness for the forthcoming Assam Legislative Assembly elections, 2026. Â
Voting for the Gambegre constituency ended on Wednesday with a strong turnout of 90.84 percent, as all 51 polling stations wrapped up operations at 6 PM.
Voter’s turnout overall was 10.28%. Bihar witnessed 8.86%, Jammu and Kashmir stands at 7.63%, Jharkhand saw 11.68%, Ladakh's percentage stands 10.51%, Maharashtra witnessed 6.33%, Odisha had 6.87% voters, Uttar Pradesh turnout was 12.89% and in West Bengal 15.35% people casted their vote till 10.am.
