Agartala, September 28: In a significant step towards digitisation, Tripura becomes the fourth Indian state to adopt the e-Cabinet software.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the software at a ceremony on Wednesday in Agartala’s New Secretariat Complex, leading his cabinet in their first-ever paperless meeting using smart tablets.

The eCabinet software streamlines cabinet meetings, eliminating paper-based workflows and promoting digital efficiency.

This move aligns with Tripura’s commitment to transparency and accountability in governance, setting a precedent for other regions.

During their inaugural e-Cabinet meeting, ministers approved a substantial loan for tourism and urban development, lauding the Chief Minister’s commitment to efficiency and transparency.

Dr. Manik Saha also recognized e-Office achievers from various offices, emphasizing how digitalization aligns with India’s broader Digital India initiative, enhancing transparency and accountability.

The e-Cabinet application’s features include secure memos, online approvals, and private communication, eliminating delays in the decision-making process.

Tripura’s IT Minister, Pranajit Singha Roy, highlighted the state’s mission to make all offices paperless by December, with substantial progress in personnel training and digitization efforts.

By the end of the year, Tripura aims to complete its journey into the digital age, transforming its administration.
