Shillong, Feb 14: Gearing up for the upcoming elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), to be held on April 9, the United Democratic Party (UDP) has cleared the name of three candidates in its first list.

The three candidates include Diana N. Marak who will be contesting from 2 Wagesik, Jadush M Sangma from Ringrikimgre and Devier M. Sangma from Gasuapara.

The UDP has come out with its first list of candidates in a meeting held at Baghmara, South Garo Hills district on Saturday, chaired by the party chief Metbah Lyngdoh.

The meeting which was attended by Minister Kyrmen Shylla, MLA Samuel Sangma, vice president Allantry Dkhar, general secretary Jemino Mawthoh, adviser BG Momin, working president LC Momin and others, kick start the party’s campaign for drumming up support for the party candidates.
