Shillong, Feb 3: In an unexpected turn of events, a woman was robbed while praying inside the Grotto chapel of the Mary Help of Christian Cathedral in Laitumkhrah, on Saturday.

The incident was captured on CCTV, clearly showing a man stealing the woman’s purse while she knelt in prayer inside the Grotto Chapel.

The identity of the thief remains unknown, and efforts are underway to apprehend the individual.
