Shillong, Nov 13 : Creativity, colour and the spirit of sustainability came alive at NEEPCO’s Corporate Office in Shillong, where the State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation—organised under the aegis of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE)—unfolded with vibrant enthusiasm and youthful brilliance.

In a remarkable display of talent, 84 students from every corner of Meghalaya converged in the State capital, each armed with a paintbrush and a vision for a greener future. Their artworks, bursting with imagination and awareness, echoed a powerful message: conserving energy is not just a necessity, but a shared responsibility for generations to come.

The competition, held with an aim to inspire environmental consciousness among schoolchildren, saw impressive interpretations of the theme. From futuristic landscapes powered by clean energy to heartfelt depictions of nature pleading for preservation, the young participants transformed the venue into a gallery of hope.

The standout performers of the day will carry Meghalaya’s torch to the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation later this year, where they will represent the State on a larger stage.
