Shillong, May 21: The state government has sanctioned Rs 157.9 crore for the construction of a mini secretariat at Dakopgre, Tura in West Garo Hills District, official sources said on Wednesday.
The project is targeted to be completed within 24 months, they said.
It may be mentioned here that the state government had decided to set up mini secretariats in all district headquarters of the state for improving the delivery mechanism by bringing all important departments under one roof.
The idea is to improve the administrative control of the government and ensure the people can have easy accessibility to the public delivery system.
