Shillong, May 1: The Raid Laban Sports Social and Cultural Organisation on Saturday felicitated 319 meritorious students at Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.

Pynthorbah MLA and Chief Advisor to the CM, AL Hek, graced the function as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the felicitation programme, South Shillong MLA and president of the organisation, Sanbor Shullai, said, “The objective of the programme is to encourage the students to work hard and achieve success in their academics.”

He also informed that the organisation has facilitated the students who have excelled in various exams in 30 categories which included SSLC, HSSLC, CBSE, NIOS and Degree besides others.

The students who were felicitated on Saturday are all residents of South Shillong constituency.

Sanbor said, “We have also felicitated differently abled students and awarded around 32 toppers with laptops.”

He informed that when the first time the event was organised, there were only 35 students who received awards but in 2022, the number has increased to 391 students.
