Williamnagar, Dec 11: A new healthcare facility, Adasa Clinic, was formally inaugurated at the Williamnagar Municipality Shopping Complex in Soil Bazar, marking a significant step forward for medical services in East Garo Hills. The clinic was officially opened by Dabo Mrong, National Secretary and Working President of the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), in the presence of Dr. Cruzie Elmina N. Sangma, District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), East Garo Hills; Ripamchi N. Sangma, CEO of the Williamnagar Municipality Board and Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills and Dr. Clive Wardy D. Sangma, Medical and Health Officer.

Adasa Clinic is a joint initiative of two brothers, who aim to offer essential diagnostic services to the community. At present, the clinic will primarily provide ultrasonography services, becoming only the second private clinic in Williamnagar to offer this facility. This is expected to greatly benefit the public, reducing the need for long-distance travel for ultrasound diagnostics.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjiv A. Sangma, father of the one of the proprietors, expressed that the clinic was established with the intention of serving the people first, while also functioning as a sustainable business. He shared how the idea for the clinic developed and extended heartfelt gratitude to the DM&HO for guidance and support throughout the process.

In his inaugural address, Chief Guest Dabo Mrong congratulated the two brothers for their initiative and highlighted that a business rooted in service to the people is one that truly succeeds. He urged the clinic owners to prioritize good healthcare service over monetary gain, emphasizing that commitment and quality care would naturally lead to growth and trust within the community. He also encouraged the owners to consider expanding the clinic in the future to further enhance healthcare access in the region.

The launch ceremony concluded with a blessing from Pastor Kokila R. Marak of Williamnagar Town Baptist Church, who offered a Scripture reading and prayer, seeking God’s guidance and blessing for the clinic’s journey ahead.
