SHILLONG, MAY 2: The court of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial) has rejected the bail pleas of the co-accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.
Sources informed that the applications were dismissed on technical grounds and not on merit.
The accused will again move for bail.
The co-accused are Sonam Raghuvanshi’s alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, along with Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi.
Earlier, on April 27, the court of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial) Dr Kharbteng had granted bail to prime accused Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of the deceased.
The court ruled that police had failed to properly communicate the grounds of her arrest, stating that the procedural lapse breached the constitutional safeguard under Article 22(1) and prejudiced the accused’s defence.
