AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal challenges Assam CM, says will open 700 madrassas post winning Lok Sabha elections

Guwahati, April 21: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) supremo Badruddin Ajmal on Saturday lashed out at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and challenged him that he would open 700 new madrassas once he becomes MP after winning the Lok Sabha elections.

While addressing an election rally in Nagaon, AIUDF chief said the AIUDF MPs from Karimganj and Nagaon in Assam, “will open 700 new madrassas after the Lok Sabha elections write in your diary, Badruddin Ajmal is coming to the parliament”.

Himanta Biswa Sarma led-BJP government in Assam had shut down many madrassas in Assam.

Ajmal attended the rally in support of the AIUDF candidate Aminul Islam, who is contesting from Nagaon.

The AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal slammed Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi and called him a liar. He stated that, “Bordoloi gave jobs, but no Muslim got a job in the last five years. He deprived the Muslim people and neglected them. Even ‘Modi’ or Himanta Biswa Sarma were unable to provide jobs, Pradyut Bordoloi gave none to the Muslims.”

Ajmal questioned Bordoloi what he has done for the Muslims community in the last five years.

Nagaon is dominated by Muslim majority and in every elections, the minority plays a decisive role in deciding the fate of the candidate.
