All India NER trekking expedition begins in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jan 11: The All India NER Trek -1, organized at NEHU with around 500 cadets from Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, and different parts of the North East States of India, began on Wednesday. The aim of the trek is to foster unity, discipline and nationalism among the young citizens of this country along with the spirit of adventure while exploring the natural beauty of Meghalaya.

Major Gangan Deep, additional Director General NCC North- East India, highlighted the motto of NCC and mentioned the main aim of this camp is National Integration.

He stated that the biggest strength of the North East Region Cadets is there are always complaints for more participation, they are the most active volunteers and participants in the entire India. He firmly believes in his cadets potential. He also mentioned how two years Covid affected and the steps the Central Government has taken for the cadets.
