Tura, June 6: The A•chik NEHU Students’ Union (ANSU) has launched a dedicated Admission Helpdesk to assist students from Garo Hills seeking admission to North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) for the 2026–27 academic session.
The initiative is aimed at helping prospective students navigate the university’s admission process, particularly those from remote areas who often face challenges in accessing information and completing online applications.
According to ANSU, the helpdesk will provide guidance on admission procedures, eligibility requirements, reservation policies, document submission, and hostel-related matters.

The union said the support mechanism has been set up to ensure that deserving students do not miss opportunities to pursue higher education at NEHU due to a lack of information or technical difficulties during the application process.
With admissions for the new academic session underway, ANSU expressed hope that the initiative would encourage greater participation from students across Garo Hills and improve access to higher education opportunities available at the central university.
Students seeking assistance can contact the Admission Helpdesk through the mobile numbers 9863729710 and 6009235349 or via email at [email protected].
