Shillong, Oct 15: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday said the upcoming elections in Assam may delay further talks for resolving the remaining six areas of difference.
According to him, the government is likely to wait till after the elections to take the discussion further.
“There are multiple situations, we are meeting once in a while, we do discuss once in a while, but obviously election time is a busy time,” Sangma told reporters.
“In most likelihood, yes, we would not be able to take the discussion further immediately, so we will maybe have to wait till the elections in Assam are over,” the CM stated.
