Guwahati, May 11: A suspected poacher was shot dead by forest rangers of Kaziranga National Park on Saturday morning.

According to reports, an encounter took place at Agoratoli range of Kaziranga National Park, where the suspected poacher succumbed to injury.

The poacher was neutralised near a forest camp situated within the Rangamataria range, along the park’s eastern periphery.

The forest guards have seized 3.3 rifle, along with three live bullets and an alarming cache of two thousand empty cartridges.
