Shillong, Feb 18: After series of allegations of corruption brought by the alliance BJP against the ruling MDA Government, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has complaint BJP central leadership about the BJP state unit president Ernest Mawrie and his way of functioning.
Stating that the state BJP Legislators has distant themselves from their state unit party chief, the Chief Minister said,
“I have spoken to both the MLAs of the state BJP and both the MLAs have distanced themselves from the comments that he has made, both the MLAs have told me that they are in favour of Ernest mawrie being removed as the president of state BJP.”
He further said that he has spoken to more than half of the BJP leaders in the Meghalaya unit all are in the favour of outstring Ernest mawrie.
“I have spoken to National leaders also they are also upset about the way the president of the BJP has been handling the situation in the state,” he said.
” I am telling you the internal feels of the party leaders and more importantly the legislatures who are completely against the way, Mawrie is handling the situation,” the CM added.
