Tura, June 21: On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, a yoga session was organised by 200 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) at the SSCM (Simsung Sports and Cultural Mission) Indoor Stadium, Baghmara, District South Garo Hills, Meghalaya in the presence of Vinod Yadav, Commandant, 200 Bn BSF.
This global celebration, observed annually on 21st June, was initiated by the United Nations following a proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Yoga, an ancient Indian discipline, is not merely a physical activity but a comprehensive way of life that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances physical strength, flexibility, and balance, while also reducing stress.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 150 individuals, including personnel from BSF, Meghalaya Police, officials from Central and State Government departments, civilians, and students from Rangku Memorial School, Baghmara. The spirit of unity and wellness was evident as all participants performed various yoga asanas with full zeal and enthusiasm.

This celebration reaffirmed the commitment of BSF and local community members to adopting a healthy and disciplined lifestyle through yoga, in alignment with this year’s theme of promoting global health and harmony.
