Shillong, Feb 19: Under the leadership of Sh Vinod Yadav, Commandant, 200 Bn BSF, the Battalion conducted a series of Civic Action Programme (CAP) activities held on Wednesday in its border areas, aimed at community welfare and development.

A civic programme was held at BOP Phanda, where community, sports and medical items were distributed to students and villagers.

Water cooler-cum-purifiers and rain shelters were inaugurated at BOP Chiringre, Bhawanipur, Rangasora and Baghmara for public use.

To promote sports and healthy lifestyles, 200 Bn BSF organized a Badminton Tournament at Baghmara under CAP.

Four teams participated, with IB emerging as champions. Prizes and sports kits were distributed by Sh Ashish Kumar Dwivedi, DC/QM.

The programmes were conducted in a cordial atmosphere, strengthening trust and cooperation between BSF and the border population.
