Shillong, Jan 28: The state Cabinet has approved the amendment of relevant Meghalaya Excise Rules for the introduction of Airport Retail ‘On’ and ‘Off’ licenses.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the state Government has decided to issue an on and off license to Airport Authority of India (AAI) for having a wine shop inside the Umroi airport.

Tynsong told reporters that since the Umroi airport is operational in full swing, the cabinet has approved the proposal for amendment of the relevant rules to allow the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to have an on and off license for having a wine shop inside the airport.
