Meghalaya's senior female legislator, Ampareen Lyngdoh, expressed her excitement over the Union cabinet passing the Women's Reservation Bill, which will reserve 33% of the seats for women in the Lok Sabha as well as assembly legislative seats.
An amount of Rs 135.08 crore have been received by the State government under the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) since implementation till date, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed the Assembly on Tuesday.
The state government has assured to pay compensation to cattle farmers after over 9,000 cattle have been affected by the Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) in the State.
Apart from the workshops, competitions will also be held on the last day of the event. The participants participating in the workshops will compete amongst each other in their own disciplines, and awards will also be given to the winners.
The first day of the Parliament Session will mark 75 years of the parliament's journey, right from the formation of the Constituent Assembly. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will discuss the achievements, experiences, memories, and learnings of the last 75 years.
