Centre inducts four Meghalaya Civil Service Officers to IAS

Shillong, Feb 13: Four senior Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) officers have been inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the Select List of 2024.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training) on February 13, 2026, the officers have been appointed against vacancies arising between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

The officers inducted into the IAS are:

Aitinolin L. Mawlong

Rikse R. Marak

Mary Sonty N. Marak

Ibashisha Mawlong

The appointments have been made under Rule 8(1) of the IAS (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, read with relevant provisions of the IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955.

The newly appointed officers will be on probation until further orders and have been allocated to the Assam-Meghalaya Joint Cadre.
