CM Conrad keeps cabinet reshuffle cards close, says ‘not the right time’

Must read

Shillong, June 25: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday said that he would consider effecting a cabinet reshuffle when the situation and time arise.

Responding to query about a potential cabinet reshuffle during a news conference, Sangma said, “There is nothing that I want to say about it right now. We will see when the situation and time arise. I don’t think right now it is the time to discuss (about a cabinet reshuffle).”

Sangma further added, “I will reply to that at an appropriate time,” indicating that the matter is not currently under consideration.

This statement comes amid speculation about potential changes in the state cabinet as the National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA-2) government will soon complete its two and a half years in office.
