Shillong, Sept 18: National People’s Party Spokesperson H M Shangpliang on Wednesday briefed the press about the current health condition of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong. He said:
“Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has been discharged from Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, and is resting at Meghalaya House for a few days. I was able to speak to Bah Prestone, and he is feeling better now. He conveyed his best wishes to all the citizens of Meghalaya. He is hale and hearty, has resumed his normal diet, and will be returning to Shillong in the next few days.”
“The treatment was successful, and he is recovering well, able to walk around on his own. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the well-wishers who conveyed their best wishes and to all those who prayed for his speedy recovery. I also want to thank the people of Pynursula who prayed for the good health of their MLA.”
“We are hopeful that once Bah Prestone returns from Delhi in the next few days, he will take over the helm of affairs.”
Tynsong was first rushed to the ICU of Nazareth Hospital in the state capital on September 9. Once his condition stabilized, he was transferred to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi on September 11, where a team of doctors successfully performed surgery to remove a hematoma (blood clot).
