SHILLONG, Feb 1: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar announced plans to inspect various projects implemented across Shillong city next week.
“Next week I will go for inspection of different projects implemented across the Shillong city,” Dhar said.
Regarding the city’s beautification project, Dhar stated that there is sufficient time to complete the work, which is part of a larger infrastructure development plan. “We have two years’ time to complete,” he said.
When asked about the cost of the project, Dhar replied that it is more than Rs 30 crore.
He emphasized that infrastructure development, including footpaths and beautification, is the current focus.
“Now it is the infrastructure development, footpaths and beautification – and after that only we will go for cleaning (of the Wahumkhrah),” Dhar added
