Shillong, Aug 22: The official Durand Cup anthem, a powerful song titled “Durand Ki Roar,” will be performed live at the grand final on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at Salt Lake Stadium.

This high-energy rock anthem was composed and arranged by the immensely talented Edward Thma from Shillong, widely hailed as the Rock Music Capital of India. It was commissioned by the Indian Army as a tribute to the tournament’s legacy and a celebration of football’s unifying power.

The anthem features the incredible voices of Shillong artists Gracyl Ropmay, Cynda Guri Sangma, Pynsuk Syiemiong, and Antara Choudhury. The electrifying music is brought to life by the exceptional band, ALIVE. Following a powerful debut live performance in Shillong, the artists will bring the track to life for fans in Kolkata.

The song’s bridge, featuring a chorus of 200 Army Jawans chanting the powerful taglines, “Many Champions, One Legacy” and “Desh ka hai ye tournament,” has already become a fan favorite. This song is more than just a musical track; it is a symbol of the collaboration between the Indian Armed Forces and the vibrant artistic community of Meghalaya uniting a nation through the shared love of sport.
