They were identified as Rajia Tikala(24), Sufian Chahun(9), Sahil Chanun(15) and Paban Rai(30).

Four picnickers, including two children, were drowned in river Brahmaputra at Baghmara, 15 km to the west of Jorhat town.

A team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were engaged in search operation.

According to police, altogether 10 to 12 picnickers, all from Jorhat, boarded a country boat that capsized in river Brahmaputra after going a certain distance.
