Shillong, Jun 11: Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will be in Shillong on June 15, 2026 to push infrastructure and connectivity projects for the North East.
His first engagement will be the CEOs RoundTable at NEIINFRA 2026, the North East India Infrastructure Summit & Exhibition at Lariti Performing Arts Centre.
The summit is being pitched as the region’s top platform for policymakers, investors and industry leaders to discuss roads, highways, logistics, urban infra, tourism, energy and digital connectivity.

Later, Gadkari will head to Polo Ground for the Dedication to the Nation and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of National Highway Projects in Meghalaya.
The new highway stretches are expected to cut travel time, improve access to remote areas, and boost trade and tourism across the state and the wider North Eastern Region.
