Shillong, Sept 23: Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister Marcuise N Marak on Tuesday informed that the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme (GSWSS-III) project is expected to be commissioned by March next year, with a current completion percentage of around 70%.
Marak stated that the New Shillong Water Supply Scheme has been delayed due to land acquisition issues, but these have now been resolved.
Construction work is expected to commence in full swing once the working season starts.
“Now everything has been sorted out. Full swing construction will be starting very soon once the working season starts,” he added.
