SHILLONG, NOV 19: Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla has stated that he is awaiting a presentation from officials regarding the functioning of the emergency service 108 in the state.
Speaking to media persons, Shylla emphasized the department’s efforts to develop a model for effectively running the service.

“We are waiting for suggestions and the officers had asked for some time to prepare a presentation on how to run the emergency service 108 in the state. Once I view the presentation, I will share with you,” he said.
The Minister assured that the department is committed to providing better services to the people of the state.
When asked about plans to hand over the emergency service 108 to a private company, Shylla replied, “I have not received any details on the move, but we will focus on how to run the emergency service smoothly for the benefits of the people of the state.”
