Shillong, June 9: In a major development in the murder case of Indore resident Raja Raghuvanshi, the Shillong Police have secured a seven-day transit remand for three accused — Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Raj Singh Kushwaha.
The trio was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in Indore, and the remand was granted to facilitate their transfer to Meghalaya for further investigation.
Speaking to the media, Additional DCP (Crime) Rajesh Dandotiya confirmed, “They were presented before the CJM Judge, and Shillong Police got 7-day transit remand. The fourth accused, Anand, is being brought to Indore from Bina in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. All four will be taken to Shillong by Shillong Police.”
The case, which has shocked the nation, involves the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, allegedly orchestrated by his wife Sonam during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Authorities believe she conspired with the arrested men to carry out the killing. Further details are expected to emerge during interrogation in Shillong.
