Shillong, Sep 29: The new Health Minister of the State, James K Sangma on Wednesday inspected the COVID-19 Step Down Hospital at Umsawli in the presence of the Director of Health Services, Dr. Aman Warr and other health officials.

After the inspection, Sangma said, “It is reassuring to see that the preparation is going as planned to ensure that the public get the healthcare and protection they need.”
The Step Down Hospital at Umsawli, Shillong was inaugurated by the Union Minister Amit Shah during his visit to the state on July 14 this year.
The Minister also reiterated that the MDA government in the leadership of Conrad K Sangma remains committed to the cause of serving the people infected and affected by COVID-19.
The new Health Minister said in a tweet, “In light of this, I also want to convey a message to the people that we have not put our guard down as the situation remains unpredictable, hence, the need to remain vigilant and alert.”
