Aizawl, April 27: The highly anticipated Miss Mizoram 2024 pageant reached its crescendo last night with the Grand Finale held in the state capital Aizawl. After months of grueling auditions and competitions, Jennifer Lalrinzuali from Republic Veng was crowned the new Miss Mizoram, walking away with a grand prize of Rs. 2 lakh in cash, a brand new CK Vespa Scooter, and the prestigious title of Brand Ambassador for the Department of Women and Child Development.

The glittering event, organized by local television network Zonet TV with the Department of Women and Child Development as the main sponsor, celebrated beauty, talent, and empowerment. A total of 20 contestants from across the state vied for the coveted crown. Still, Lalrinzuali ultimately won over the judges and audience with her poise, intelligence, and commitment to social causes.
The first runner-up position went to Rebecca Zothanpuii from Khawzawl, who received a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. In contrast, Evelyn Zachhingpuii from Saikhamakawn claimed the second runner-up spot, taking home Rs. 50,000. The top five finalists, including Lalhmingsangi from Kolasib and Lalrinhlui from Champhai, each received Rs. 25,000.
In addition to the main titles, several special awards were presented. Lalhmingsangi was honored with the People’s Choice award, R. Vanlalawmpuii from Serchhip received the BWAP award, Lalrinhlui claimed the Miss Beautiful Skin award, and Jennifer Zothanzuali from Lunglei was named Miss Congeniality.
As Jennifer Lalrinzuali begins her reign as Miss Mizoram 2024, she vows to use her newfound influence to advocate for education, women’s rights, and environmental conservation. The journey to the crown began on March 25th with auditions across the state. After nearly a month of intense competition, a new queen has emerged to represent the pride and spirit of Mizoram.
