Tura, Oct 27: The Junior Inter Mahari Football Tournament 2023 for the U-17 Boys & Girls concluded on Friday.

The girls’ final was played between Bolwari & Chambugong Mahari, where Chambugong won the match by 4 goals.

The boys’ final match was played between Bolwari & Nengminja Mahari. In the 90-minute match, no goals were scored.

During the additional match time, the Nengminja Mahari scored against the Bolwari Maharis, becoming the champions.

Awards were also distributed at the end of the tournament.

Girls Category

Best Goal Keeper – Raksilchi Ch. Marak
Best Player – Sammera Ch. Marak

Boys Category

Best Goal Keeper – Dimsrang N. Sangma
Top Scorer – Aman Rikasal M Sangma
Best Player – Macmillan B Marak

The finals were graced by Dr. Gino Sangma, VP MFA (Meghalaya Football Association).
He along with other senior members from the Organising committee gave the awards and the trophies to the winning as well as the Runners-up teams.
