Shillong, Oct 5: Four time Congress MDC and current Leader of Opppsition in KHADC Lamphrang Blah on Tuesday officially joined National People’s Party (NPP) at an election programme at Madan Shad Mawphlang in presence of party chief and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Dy CM Prestone Tynsong, Rajya Sabha MP W R Kharlukhi and a host of other party leaders.Blah will be the official candidate of NPP for Mawphlang constituency which goes for bye-election on October 30.It may be mentioned here that bye-elections to three Assembly seats are slated for October 30 and counting on November 2. The three seats fell vacant following the death of their sitting legislators. The three legislators are David A Nongrum from Mawryngkneng constituency, SK Sunn from Mawphlang constituency and Dr Azad Zaman from Rajabala constituency.

NPP is fielding Pyniaid  S. Syiem from Mawryngkneng and Abdul Saleh from Rajabala for the bye-elections.
