Shillong, April 2: Fifteen-year-old Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang from Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills, clinched two gold medals at the 21st National Mountain Bike Championship 2025, held in Morni Hills in Haryana, from March 28 to 31.
Kevin dominated the competition, securing gold in the Cross Country Time Trial and the Cross Country Olympic (XCO) categories.
The event was organised by the Haryana Cycling Association under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India.
Notably, Kevin competed using a high-end bicycle worth ₹1 lakh, which was sponsored by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
“I wanted to thank the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma who has helped me with the cycle and it is because of his help I can clinch the Gold Medals”, said Kevin in an interview.
