Meghalaya drivers dominate 4th Street King’s Autocross Challenge 2023 in Dimapur

Shillong, April 30: Roaring engines and screeching tires set the tone for an adrenaline-packed weekend in Dimapur, the commercial hub of Nagaland, with the Meghalaya drivers putting in outstanding performances to make the fourth edition of the 4th Street King’s Autocross Challenge 2023 a memorable event.

Meghalaya’s drivers completely dominated the challenge and won top spots in several categories. The two-day adrenaline-packed event took place at Agri Expo, 4th Mile, on April 28-29, 2023, and drew motorsport enthusiasts from across the region.

The event featured four categories: Rookie, Open, SUV, and Ladies, each with a different entry fee. The prize money varied for each category. The Rookie and SUV categories had a prize pool of 30k, 20k, and 10k for the top three positions, while the Open category offered a bigger prize pool of 50k, 35k, 25k, 15k, and 10k for the top five positions.

Besides the main categories, there were also two individual prizes: Best Decorated Car and Youngest Driver.

Aneesh Sangma secured the first position in the SUV category

The highlight of the event was the performance of Meghalaya drivers. Aneesh Sangma secured the first position in the SUV category with a timing of 1.05.65, while Nochie Aranchimiksa M. Sangma won the Ladies category with a timing of 1.42.25.

In the Open category, Ronan Bazeley secured the top spot with a timing of 1.06.41, followed by Mihsalsan Bazeh and Brandon Bazeley Rymbai in the second and third positions, respectively.

In the Rookie category, Elhannan Jason Syiem secured the first position with a timing of 1.09.47, followed by Isynei Hinge and Alex Suoho in the second and third positions, respectively.
